GameSports.net: Hey RotterdaM! In may there will be the KODE5 Global Final in Moscow. How do you prepare for this event? Do you go on a bootcamp or how is your training to get a good rank at these finals.
srs^RotterdaM: Won't make any special bootcamp, but I've got holidays from college so I got time to practice and I will - as much as I can - do. Of course I've got be a bit social as well during my holidays, so several days are lost while playing the star in real life again ;), just kidding, will practise quite some.

How important is this event for you? Is it your ‘event of the year’ or which other events would you prefer?
Nah, it's not the event of the year for me, ESWC and WCG would be more important, but it’s one of those events if you do well you will be remembered for a long time so it would be nice to have one of those super days now.

At KODE5 2006 you’ve won a match against Grubby, later at the ESWC 2007 you lost against him. There are still a few other good players in Russia. What do you think about your chances at the event this year?
Well KODE5 2006 was very disappointing, cause according to the rules I was supposed to get regames, (Showbu, Grubby, Me, all had 6 points, 2 wins, and 1 lose) but because an admin - who barely spoke English - promised something different before the games that went into a huge discussion and ended up me not getting a regame and being eliminated even though the tournament rules said different so that was pretty sad since I was in really good shape back then (Won EuroCup in Denmark five days before it or something) but well, life goes on. This year it depends, there are several players who are better than me but you don't have to beat them all to go far. If I play my best and get a good grid I might do well, we will see I guess.

Beneath famous international gamers like HasuObs, ToD and Grubby, who do you think will win this tournament?
I think Happy will win, just because he's an amazing player and probably has the best micro in the world. And there are not that many orcs, if not Infi or ToD will win I guess, or myself LOL!, just wait and see!! :(

In november last year you switched clans from fnatic to Serious Gaming. You said that you want to join the WC3L with Serious Gaming and were successful one month later. What can you tell us about the qualification and your change to Serious Gaming itself? Was it the right decision?
Yes it was. I enjoy playing for Serious and it’s exactly what I expected of it, but hopefully we will make WC3L again and play a bit better in the season now. I hope also we can return to NGL ONE, which we seem on the correct road for.

What are you doing after KODE5 Moscow? Are there still further events or will you take a break?

I won't take a break, I've took plenty of breaks during the last months and before and tbh that’s kind ‘a killing your chance to make any progress and step up your game. So I won't take any break from now on, the only break I will take is if I decide to stop forever but I don't see that happening very fast. Or Blizzard must have an amazing christmas gift for us and let StarCraft II fall down from heaven.

Thank you for spending time for this interview. I hope you’ll have good games in Moscow and will be content with yourself.
No problem, make sure to cheer for me!
